Yes, night markets are important part of culture in Taiwan, especially Taipei, and is an outing anyone new to Taiwan needs to experience.
The Student Council Buddy Program has a night market event that wont be forgotten. Join buddies, classmates, and many of the Taipei locals at the famous Rahoe night market where the food, shopping, and games create a fun bonding opportunity for all.
For those unfamiliar, night markets are more than just a daily street festival for food and shopping. It is an experience of culture and appreciation for the locals and the effort they put into their lives. The Rahoe night market located in the Songshan District and is packed with interesting foods, quaint shops, and carnival games. It spans 600 metres and is easily accessible by bus or MRT. Also, it is adjacent to the historic Ciyou Temple that was built during the Qing Dynasty.
The IMBA Buddy Program brings an outing that exposes the best of the Raohe night market. Students are encouraged to shop for foods, items, and bond with their teammates through the streets. There are different games and activities organized for the students to participate and team build.
A night market such as Rahoe always brings a different experience with each visit. So whether this is your first time or fiftieth time, a night market visit with classmates is definitely a Taipei must-do.
